We visited several different historical places during our time in Paris, including Napoleon's Tomb, which was incredible in its sheer magnitude and ornate decoration. For such a small man, his eternal resting place was truly larger than life. It was housed in a large domed building, with a wide circular area cut out of the ground where the actual tomb is housed. This part of the building is located towards the back, with staircases on either side going down into the tomb itself. Everything about this building was so detailed and extravagant. One could spend hours just looking at the sculptures and monuments housed in it.
