I took this photo of a pink azalea just outside of the Byodo-In Buddhist Temple on Oahu. It's tucked away in the Valley of the Temples--a burial ground on the island, which happens to house some really beautiful natural landscaping at the foot of the Ko'olau Mountains. The temple itself is really beautiful, but the garden that surrounds it really captured my heart. The large bell that visitors are welcome to ring sets a certain tone to the temple and the surrounding grounds--one of peace and thoughtfulness. I love this azalea and the vibrancy it brings to the green-dominated section of the gardens. I though ti was definitely worth capturing.
